Children's Hospital Music Support
Hospital volunteers take a cart of musical joy throughout the wards and offer musical instruments, CD players and dozens of compact discs to the children to use while they undergo treatment. The joy of laughter and music helps the healing and makes the time in a hospital go by so much faster.
Music Therapy Support
Did you know that music can help a trained professional to achieve therapeutic goals? This can include improving motor skills, social/interpersonal development, cognitive development, self-awareness, and spiritual enhancement. Music for a Cure is proud to support this treatment with instruments and funding as needed for hospitals to implement and maintain this beautiful program.
Individual Musical Request
Sadly, children who are frequently in need of hospital care often are unable to participate in any type of daily extracurricular activities. Music for a Cure can help to fulfill their wishes by offering them something they can participate in regardless of location. This helps to increase self-confidence and can often be a distraction from their surroundings. Music for a Cure is able to obtain an instrument and facilitate lessons, helping to heal a child and giving them a skill they can enjoy for the rest of their life.
